Charissa Thompson

Thompson was fired from FOX Sports in the year 2010 and was able to double as host of both Versus and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was the anchor of Versus' NHL studio coverage and produced web-based content on the popular Yahoo platform. She was also responsible for Yahoo Sports' presence at major events, including those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. Success in both arenas led to her joining ESPN in August 2011, when she was chosen as one of the hosts for the network's newly conceived show for the afternoon "Numbers Never lie." She joined"SportsNation" in the summer of 2012 "SportsNation" network in July 2012. The show was an enormous success and she stayed on until May 2013, when she returned home to Los Angeles to launch FS1. Thompson who is a keen sports fan in her core, has displayed impressive abilities in transitioning to the realm of entertainment TV. In June 2014, following numerous part-time assignments Thompson was made a permanent co-host of the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra".
