Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actor and actress who lived in Sweden during the 1950s to 1970s, was featured in a variety of European film as well as American films. She is mostly known for her performance in the comedy drama film "La Dolce vita". In 1960, the film received its Golden Palm and an Oscar from the Cannes Film Festival. The film also received the success of critics and consumers. The actress was born in Skane where she worked as model prior to embarking on performing. She eventually won the Miss Sweden contest. In the US She began appearing in movies with minor roles. The role she played was Venusian Guard in the movie 'Abbott and Costello's Trip to Mars.' This was her first credit role. In the movie 'Blood Alley in which she received the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising young actor.' Through her entire professional career, she appeared in many other films such as the war-themed American-Italian film "War and Peace," The Western movie 'Valerie', the British adventure crime film 'The Man Within', and The French-Italian film 'The Dam of the Yellow River'. She passed away in 2015 aged an 83 year old.
